You have received the Form WA-12 by mail. It will be received by the employer after the tax period in which the Form WA-12 is filed ends or a Form WA-8, Statement of Your Employer's Annual Federal Tax Return, is received by an employer after the tax period in which you filed your Form WA-12 has ended. Your annual tax statement is available in the mail beginning six to eight weeks after your return is mailed to you. A tax statement is mailed with the Form WA-12 for employers to use to verify the amount and type of tax you owe on your Form WA-12. You must receive and use the statement within six months of filing your return. Your Form WA-12 is not an individual return and must be filed with your return to the same manner as most individual returns. You can pay your federal individual income taxes and other federal taxes online through the IRS e-file website and have your return processed online in only a few minutes. It is convenient because you do not have to prepare a 1040A, 1040EZ, 1320EZ, or individual return for submission to the IRS; you only have to submit a summary of your U.S. federal tax return which is already filed online within e-file's secure online portal.
